It's finally come to that time. On that afternoon last March as I posted a heart-breaking article with a picture of Stephen Curry in tears, I thought that this moment couldn't get here quickly enough. But here we are. Back in the NCAA Tournament...and this time we have a higher seed, a closer location, and an All-American. I'm ready to go.
Like I have done throughout the regular season and the Southern Conference Tournament, I will be live-blogging Davidson's first round game against Gonzaga from the RBC Center in Raleigh. The Wildcats will be tipping off at 12:25 eastern time.
As most of us remember the unfortunate incident when a live-blogger was thrown out of the press box at the College World Series last summer, I have been instructed by the NCAA to follow some detailed guidelines on live-blogging. There will only be five posts per half and one post at halftime. I will try to make these posts more filled with running thoughts and observations and less statistical and play-by-play -ish. Please feel free to comment and leave your own thoughts and your stories about the groups in which you are watching the tournament.
In addition to the live-blog, I hope to be bringing you coverage of tomorrow's practice and pre-game press conference. The team will take the floor of the RBC Center around noon for a practice that is open to the public.
