10th seeded Wildcats to face Gonzaga in Raleigh

And the dream continues. Davidson's story book season has already gone through last year's flava of the week, Winthrop. Now it goes through the mid-major of all mid-majors: Gonzaga. For the past three years, people have speculated about what it would take to become the next Gonzaga. Well the next step is to beat...Gonzaga. After being sent to locations like Dayton, Albuquerque and Buffalo, the Wildcats were rewarded with the closest possible first-round location. Davidson's last loss was actually in the RBC Center when they fell to N.C. State by one point on Dec. 21. Bulldog fans will be upset to have a better seed and yet have to play a 10 seed that is only a few hours away from its home. The game time is set for 12:25 EDT.

If the Wildcats advance past Gonzaga, they will face the winner of Georgetown-UMBC on Easter Sunday. The Hoyas lost to Ohio State in last year's Final Four and return big man Roy Hibbert. UMBC is going to the Big Dance for the first time ever after defeating Hartford in the America East Championship.

Before the selection show started, Coach McKillop addressed the crowd with a very simple affirmation of the hard work and accomplishments of every player, coach and family member. He said that back in October, he challenged all of us to embrace the bulls-eye. He now believes that we have married it.
